Common questions
Yes. Yates Construction & Excavating is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia with two classifications: Highway/Heavy (H/H), which covers excavation, grading, roads, utilities and similar sitework, and Residential Building (RBC), which covers building homes, additions and residential structures.
Yes. We'll come out to your property, walk the site with you and give you a written estimate. There's no charge and no obligation.
Yes, and that's one of the biggest advantages of working with us. Because we hold both Highway/Heavy and Residential Building licenses, we can clear and grade your lot, put in the driveway and utilities, and build the house or garage, all as one contractor.
We're based in Blairs on Route 29 and work throughout Pittsylvania County, Danville, Chatham, Gretna, Martinsville, Henry County, Halifax County and the surrounding Southern Virginia area. If you're not sure we cover your location, just give us a call.
It depends on the size of the job and the season, but we'll give you a realistic start date when we provide your estimate, and we'll keep you updated if weather changes the schedule.
